Like most creatures, I eat. Often three times a day (and even more if you include snacking). Food was, and still is, of the utmost importance to the Sass family. Growing up, breakfast conversation was often consumed by talk of what we would do for lunch. At lunch we would discuss the inevitable dinner meal. You get the idea. Food matters. I am chubby.
I became a vegetarian after my daughter was born in 1991, so it has been a long time since I’ve chowed down on any meat or fish. Over ten years ago I cut out dairy and began following a strict vegan diet. It works for me.
As I travel a lot for business (and thus eat out a lot as well) it has become a bit of a game for me to discover great vegan dishes (on or off the menu) at interesting restaurants all over the world, often at great steakhouses. I post many of these vegan delights on my Instagram account, and every year I publish a video of the highlights... (See below). I even learned some negotiating skills from being vegan, as noted in this article on Entrepreneur.com.
